Bob King
Bob King is a Professor of English at Kent State University at Stark & has taught at KSU for 26 years, earning multiple teaching distinctions. He holds degrees from Loyola University Chicago & Indiana University (MFA, poetry), where he was Editor of Indiana Review. His first poetry collection, And & And, is now available (August 30, 2024), and his second poetry collection, And/Or, will be available in September 2025. Both titles are being published by Finishing Line Press. He’s a former recipient of an Ohio Arts Council Individual Artist Fellowship and part of a team that won a 2023-2024 National Endowment for the Arts/Arts Midwest Big Read Communities Grant. In 2023 editors from three journals nominated his poems for a Pushcart Prize: The Hooghly Review, LEON Literary Review, and Paddler Press. And two editors nominated his poems for Best of the Net Anthology 2024: Blue Flame Review and The Gorko Gazette. Other past poems have appeared in American Poetry Review, Narrative Magazine, Olney Magazine, Erato Magazine, Ink Sweat & Tears, Full House Literary, Allium: a Journal of Poetry & Prose, Muleskinner, The Spoon River Poetry Review, Northwest Review, Quarter After Eight, and Green Mountains Review, among dozens of others. He lives in Fairview Park, Ohio, with his wife & daughters.
Artie Knapp
Ohio writer Artie Knapp is the author of over 40 published children’s literature works that includes books, videos, stories and poems. His children’s stories have been featured in several course books by HarperCollins, Orient BlackSwan, Oxford University Press, Pearson Education, and The Chart Institute in Japan, among others. Additionally, Artie’s work has been published in various magazines and newspapers, as well as online publications. Among his writing credits are the children’s books Stuttering Stan Takes a Stand and Living Green: A Turtle’s Quest for a Cleaner Planet, a shortlist finalist for the Green Earth Book Award. He is a member of The Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, and graduated from Ohio University. Artie lives in Cincinnati, Ohio, with his wife and daughter. Paula J. Lambert
Paula J. Lambert has published nine collections of poetry, including As If This Did Not Happen Every Day (Sheila-Na-Gig 2024) and Uncertainty (The Only Hope We Have) (Bottlecap 2023). Also a visual artist, small-press publisher, and literary translator, her work has been recognized by PEN America and supported by the Ohio Arts Council, Greater Columbus Arts Council, and Virginia Center for Creative Arts. Kurt Landefeld
Kurt Landefeld is the author of Jack’s Memoirs: Off the Road, a fictional exploration of Jack Kerouac’s life had he not died in 1969 presented as a memoir from Kerouac. Landefeld is a longtime advertising and public relations executive, writer and producer in Toledo, Akron, Cleveland and Huron. In addition, he is the co-founder of VanitaBooks, a children’s book publishing company. Landefeld was born in San Francisco and, next to Rocky River, Ohio, where he attended high school, considers it his second home. He is a G=graduate of Bucknell University with graduate work at University of Toledo and is married with one daughter, one dog, and one cat. Cathy Cultice Lentes
Cathy Cultice Lentes recently retired from teaching and working with students with disabilitie sas part of the Special Education/Psychology team in Meigs County, Ohio. In 2016, she published a poetry chapbook, Getting The Mail (Finishing Line Press). In addition to poetry, Lentes writes creative nonfiction and a variety of works for children. She earned her MFA in Writing for Young People from the Solstice Program in 2013. Wendy McVicker and Cathy Cultice Lentes admired each other’s work from afar before becoming good friends and have often published in the same literary journals and anthologies, most recently, I Thought I Heard a Cardinal Sing, Ohio’s Appalachian voices (Sheila-Na-GigEditions, 2022).
Leigh Lewis
Leigh Lewis is a children’s writer and poet who has been “playing pirates” since she could walk. She does her best work in loud cafes, on long journeys, or in bed, late at night while everyone else sleeps. Her adventures on the high seas have enabled her to call many places home, including Turkey, Greece, Japan, England and Russia, as well as states all over the U.S., and she eventually navigated her way back to her hometown of Columbus, Ohio. Leigh spends her time there dreaming up stories for kids of all ages, buoyed by an amazing crew—her Turkish delight of a husband and their three swashbuckling daughters.
DiAndra Liccardo
My name is DiAndra Liccardo. I reside in Twinsburg, Ohio. I am a mother to three beautiful children and I love spending time with my family and creating memories. I enjoy playing the flute and I am currently learning to play the guitar. I am a newly published author of a love poem book titled Butterflies that was released July 2023. My love poem book is filled with poems and quotes that I hope give you butterflies. Yes, I am on the cover of my book. My first passion in life was to be a model. I still enjoy modeling, but do it for fun in my spare time. Writing has always been a passion of mine. Aside from writing I am a passionate teacher. I have my Associate and Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education. Although this is my first book, I have two other books in the works that I am hoping to publish in the near future.
