Cincinnati Enquirer carried a sketch by Caroline Williams (1908 – 1988) every Sunday. Her sketches depict the uniqueness of
Cincinnati and the surrounding area. She published several books of sketches of Cincinnati landmarks. Two of her books,
As Always – Cincinnati and Cincinnati – Steeples, Street and Steps, she hand set the type and printed the pages on her own printing press.
In 1962, Caroline was awarded the Sachs Prize by the Cincinnati Institute of Fine Arts. The next year, she won an Ohioana Citation
for distinguished service to Ohio in the cause of the arts.
