Educational Resource Lists
Ohioana provides several educational resource lists that give teachers, students, librarians, and the
general public helpful information about Ohio authors, illustrators, and other people of note, and the contributions they have made.
Each list contains the person’s name; year of birth; year of death, if applicable; sample book title(s) or background
information; birthplace; and city and county affiliations.
The lists are not intended to be comprehensive; individuals are selected for
inclusion based on literary reputation, critical success, a history of successful publication, and/or notable accomplishments.
Currently, we maintain seven literary lists, along with our Famous Ohioans and Ohioana Award Winners lists.
