Ohio Connections Literary Exhibit

The Ohio Connections Literary Exhibit was part of Ohio’s Literary Homecoming Bicentennial Celebration in 2003. A collaborative project of the Ohioana Library, the Bicentennial Commission, and the Thurber Center, it was exhibited at the Thurber Center and then the Ohioana Library until late 2004.

For the Ohio Connections Project, the Ohioana Library invited current and former Ohio writers to submit poems, short fiction, and nonfiction works relating to their Ohio experience. The rich body of writing that resulted is now archived as a special Ohio Bicentennial collection at the library. Kate Templeton Fox, former editor of the Ohioana Quarterly, selected 38 works from the 137 pieces in that collection for inclusion in a special Ohio Connections publication; Thurber Center Gallery Director Laura Bidwa then chose the 13 authors listed below from the publication to be represented in the exhibit. We now offer elements of that exhibit here on the web.
