Past Florence Roberts Head Book Award Winners
The Florence Roberts Head Memorial Ohioana Book Award
was established by the American Association of University Women, Book
Study Group I, in memory of Florence Roberts Head (Mrs. Depew). Mrs.
Head was a founder of Book Study Group I, and the first Director of the
Ohioana Library Association. She worked closely with Martha Kinney
Cooper in 1929 to establish the (Martha Kinney Cooper) Ohioana Library.
She served as Ohioana's Director for over 24 years. This Award is selected by the AAUW, Book Study Group I.
CRITERIA
Any book that meets the designated criteria for an Ohioana Book Award.
Preference to books written by women
Preference to nonfiction and books about Ohio
