Ohioana Walter Rumsey Marvin Grant: 2010
Daniel Pribble
Oxford OH
Awarded to encourage writers under thirty who have not yet published a book
Dan Pribble was born and raised in Oxford, Ohio, where he graduated from Talawanda High School and the Western College Program at
Miami University. He now lives, writes, and works in Boston, MA. Dan received his MFA at Emerson College. His fiction has
previously appeared in the magazines Inklings, Redivider and The Diner Journal.
Pribble writes fully realized, compelling characters and his stories have a strong sense of narrative and place. He is truly a young writer to watch out for. Ohioana is proud to support Daniel Pribble’s writing by awarding him the 2010 Walter Rumsey Marvin Grant, and we hope that it will help launch his publishing career as it has for many other grant recipients.
