Bruce Weigl is the author of thirteen collections of poetry, including Archeology of the Circle: New and Selected Poems (1999) and
The Unraveling Strangeness (2002). He has also served as translator for Poems from Captured Documents (1994),
Angel Riding a Beast (1999), and Mountain River: Vietnamese Poetry from the Wars, 1948–1993.
In 2000, he published The Circle of Hanh, a memoir that chronicles his return to Vietnam to adopt a daughter.
Weigl is currently Distinguished Professor of Arts and Humanities at Lorain County Community College.
Among his awards are a Patterson Poetry Prize, two Pushcart Prizes, the Northern Ohio Live Award for Literature, and
fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, Yaddo, and Bread Loaf.
