Timothy Russell of Columbus OH
 Timothy Russell co-founded the
ProMusica Chamber Orchestra in 1978, and this upcoming season will mark his 28th as the organization’s music director.
In this role, Russell has presented concerts featuring the best of both traditional and contemporary musical composers.
He also has created programs for both children and seniors, initiated competitions for composers, recorded nine
CDs with the orchestra, and established an Annual Gala that has featured ProMusica performing with such innovative musicians as Bela Fleck,
Mark O’Connor, and Sir James Galway. He has been honored by the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers; the
Danforth Foundation; and the Columbus Jewish Foundation.
