Ohioana Citation for Dance: 2006

Lisa Ford Moulton, Athens OH

Lisa Ford Moulton has choreographed more than twenty musical performance pieces during her career, using the work of composers ranging from Frederic Chopin to T-Bone Burnett. A talented dancer herself, she was a member of the Ririe-Woodbury Dance Company and worked with the Loose Gravel Dance Company and Contemporary Danceworks before coming to Ohio University in 1995.

Most recently, her work was featured as part of the university’s Turning Two Hundred, a dance performance that accompanied the music of fellow Ohio University faculty member and composer Mark Phillips.

Among many other honors, she has received two Ohio Arts Council Individual Artist Fellowships.
