Diane Gilliam Fisher is a native of
Columbus. She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Spanish from Ohio State University, then went back
later to earn her Ph.D. in romance languages from Ohio State and an M.F.A. in creative writing from Warren Wilson College.
A recipient of an Ohio Arts Council Individual Artist’s Fellowship, Fisher has had work appear in
Wind Magazine, Spoon River Poetry Review, Appalachian Journal and Shenandoah.
She is the author of two complete collections of poetry: One of Everything in 2003 and the
Ohioana Award-winning Kettle Bottom in 2004.
