An experienced presenter in schools, Shelley Pearsall is a former intermediate and middle school teacher with a Master’s degree in education from John Carroll University. In addition to teaching, she has worked in the fields of museum education and outdoor education, leading innovative workshops and programs for all ages. Shelley has six nationally-recognized fiction books for youth in grades 4 through 8, including Trouble Don’t Last, a Scott O’Dell Award winner, and All of the Above, an ALA Notable. Her most recent book is The Seventh Most Important Thing (Random House, 2015).
Shelley’s books have received numerous starred reviews and appear on many state reading lists. They have classroom connections to STEM, social studies, music, and art. Since 2005, Shelley has worked with 150,000 students nationwide as a school presenter and writing workshop leader.
