Raul Ramos y Sanchez
Raul Ramos y Sanchez is the author of multiple novels. After a successful twenty-four year career in advertising that included founding an ad agency with offices in Ohio and California, he developed a documentary for public television, Two Americas: The Legacy of our Hemisphere and created http://myimmigrationstory.com/ — an online forum for the U.S. immigrant community. In 2004, Ramos began writing his first novel, America Libre. Along with America Libre, House Divided and Pancho Land make up his Class H Trilogy which was inspired by Ramos’s own escape from Fidel Castro’s Cuba in the early 1960s. Ramos has received numerous awards for his work including: Best Novel Award Winner – International Latino Book Awards, Violet Crown Awards Fiction Finalist, Writers League of Texas, Books Into Movies Award Winner presented by Edward James Olmos, USA Today 2009 Summer Reads Author, LATINA Magazine “10 Hottest Summer Reads” for 2009, #1 among “2011 Top Ten Latino Authors” by http://latinostories.com/, and is listed among “Best Hispanic Writers of the 21st century” by http://www.chacha.com/.
