Meredith Doench is the author of the Luce Hansen Thriller series from Bold Strokes Books. Crossed, the first in the series, was published in August of 2015 and placed second in that year’s IndieFab Awards for the mystery genre (Silver Award). Crossed was also earned the Mary Dasher Award in 2017, an honor given to an Ohio writer from the College English Association of Ohio. The second novel in the series, Forsaken Trust, was published in 2017 followed by Deadeye in 2019.
Doench’s short fiction and nonfiction has appeared in literary journals such as Hayden’s Ferry Review, Women’s Studies Quarterly, Lumina, and Gertrude. She was one of the founding associate prose editors of the literary journal, Camera Obscura: Journal of Literature and Photography, until it ceased printing in 2014.
A native Ohioan, Doench holds a BS in Special Education from Ball State University, an MA in English from the University of Dayton, and a PhD from Texas Tech University in English/Creative Writing.
Doench currently resides in Dayton, Ohio where she is a lecturer at the University of Dayton teaching composition, literature, and creative writing.
